This show cases studio portraits I have taken so far in my Internship. When creating studio portraits I have to make sure the studio is set up properly before the customer comes in to get his/her photo taken. This includes, the correct background for the image purpose, the correct lighting set up and lighting settings, any seating I need placed, correct flags placed (if requested or needed) and knowledge of who is coming in and what the portrait is going to be used for. A lot of portraits scheduled are for updated photos for the War College website, specific U.S military branch data book photos, group photos of different departments or students, etc. In order to learn exactly how to do all of the steps needed to take studio portraits I first had to assist the main photographer in order to see what he does and how he does it. At first, I was slow with the process but quickly caught on. The Photographer taught me what settings to use and taught me all of the basics for the studio set up. I have learned which lights to use in the studio, where to place the lights, what settings to put the lights at and how to get the camera to talk with the lights in order for them to flash when i take the photograph.Below I have showcased some of the portraits I have done throughout my internship. While I was not able to post all of the studio portraits I have done, I have showcased some of the portraits that I am especially proud of.
